D Los Altos Anejo – NOM 1499 – Tasted 2/16/07.  This tequila is pale yellow in color and has a intense
aromas of floral, fruit, and earth.  There are also moderate aromas of spice followed by a hint of vanilla and
caramel.  A mellow taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a low sweetness and somewhat bitter tequila
taste.  The D Los Altos Anejo flavor contains intense flavors of agave and earth followed by moderate floral
accents.  Mild notes of fruit with a hint of vanilla also accompany this tequila.  D Los Altos Anejo finishes with a
short duration of flavor and no alcohol feeling.

Don Eduardo Anejo – NOM 1110 – Tasted on 5/21/07 at 5:20pm.  I tried this tequila in a blind tasting at
Zocalo out of a snifter.  The tequila is a pale yellow golden color and is aged for 2 years.  Don Eduardo Anejo
aromas consist of intense caramel and fruit aspects followed by mild vanilla and floral.  On the lighter side, this
Anejo has a hint of spice.  On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a thin and oily mouth feel.  While
the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it has a low level of sweetness and a hint of bitterness.  The flavor of
this tequila was mild flavors of earth, fruit, spice, and floral followed by hints of caramel and vanilla.  Upon
finishing this tequila, there is a long duration of flavor and numbing alcohol intensity.

Don Eduardo Reposado – NOM 1110 – Tasted on 6/15/07 at 5:25pm.  I purchased 1.5 ounces of this
tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento, CA and tasted it out of a snifter.  The tequila is pale yellow in color and is
aged for 6 months.  Don Eduardo Reposado aromas consist of intense earth, fruit, and floral aspects followed
by moderate spice.  On the lighter side, this Reposado has hints of vanilla and smoke.  On the tip of tongue,
this tequila is mellow and has a medium mouth feel.  While the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it has a low
sweetness and mild bitterness.  The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of earth followed by mild
fruit, floral, smoke, wood, and spice aspects.  Deeper flavors of Don Eduardo Reposado consist of hints of
chemicals.  Upon finishing this tequila, there is a short-to-medium duration of flavor and a subtle numbing
alcohol intensity.  

Don Eduardo Silver – NOM 1110 – Tasted on 6/15/07 at 5:00pm.  I purchased 1.5 ounces of this tequila at
Zocalo in Sacramento, CA and tasted it out of a snifter.  The tequila is clear in color.  Don Eduardo Silver
aromas consist of intense earth and fruit aspects followed by moderate floral and spice.  On the lighter side,
this Silver has mild smoke.  On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a medium mouth feel.  While
the tequila has moderate-to-heavy agave flavor, it is sweet and has only a hint of bitterness.  The flavor of
this tequila contains intense flavors of earth and fruit followed by moderate to intense fruit.  Deeper flavors of
Don Eduardo Silver consist of hints of spice.  Upon finishing this tequila, there is a medium duration of flavor
and a tingly alcohol intensity.

Don Fulano Imperial Anejo – NOM 1146 – Tasted 5/21/07.  On this date I tried this tequila by doing a
blind tasting at Zocalo using a snifter.  This tequila is an amber brown color and has intense aromas of fruit.  
There are also moderate aromas of vanilla, spice, and caramel followed by mild earth, floral, and smoke.  A soft
taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a sweet tequila taste with a small amount of bitterness.  The Don
Fulano Imperial Anejo flavor contains intense caramel flavors with moderate agave and earth.  The tequila also
has mild fruit, floral, chemical, and smoke with hints of vanilla and spice.  Don Fulano Imperial Anejo finishes
with a medium-to-long duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol feeling.

Don Fulano Reposado – NOM 1146 – Tasted on 4/20/07 at 4:53pm.  I tried this tequila, which cost me
$12, at Zocalo and tasted it in a snifter glass.  This tequilas quality versus price was above average.  With a
yellow golden color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral and earth.  Other aromas include moderate fruit
and smoke with mild spice.  The tequila has an oily mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with a hint of
bitterness.  Don Fulano Reposado has numerous arrays of flavors due to its 8 months of aging.  Intense
flavors of floral are followed by moderate notes of agave and earth.  With a medium duration of flavor, tastes
of mild fruit with hints of spice and smoke bring this tequila to a numbing finish.

Don Julio Blanco - NOM 1449 - Tasted 2/16/07. The tequila is clear in color with intense earthy and smoky
aromas followed by moderate-to-intense aromas of floral, spice, and chocolate.  A soft mellow entry leads to a
low sweet taste, with low-to-moderate bitterness and moderate-to-heavy agave taste.  While there is only
moderate agave flavor, the tequila has intense earthy and floral.  The tequila finishes with a short duration of
flavor and a tingly alcohol finish.

Don Julio Reposado – NOM 1449 – Tasted 5/27/07.  On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind
tasting at Zocalo using a snifter.  This tequila is a pale yellow color and has intense aromas of earth and floral.  
There are also moderate aromas of fruit and spice followed by mild vanilla and lime/grass.  A mellow taste on
the tip of the tongue leads to a low sweetness with a hint of bitterness.  The Don Julio Reposado flavor
contains intense floral and earth flavors with moderate agave and fruit.  The tequila also has mild intensities of
vanilla and caramel followed by hints of spice.  Don Julio Reposado finishes with a medium-to-long duration of
flavor and a slightly numbing alcohol feeling.

Don Julio Anejo – NOM 1449 – Tasted 3/9/07.  With a yellow golden color, Don Julio Anejo has intense
aromas of floral and fruit.  Moderate aromas consist of vanilla, while mild aromas are of spice and caramel.  The
tequila has no bitterness to it and a sweet aftertaste.  Initial flavors are intense caramel.  There are also
moderate agave, fruit, and vanilla flavors.  Numbing alcohol intensity and a long duration of flavor bring this
tequila masterpiece to a close.

Don Julio 1942 Anejo - NOM 1449 - Tasted 12/29/06. The tequila is a golden color with intense floral and
vanilla aromas.  A soft mellow entry leads to a sweet syrupy taste, with no bitterness and moderate agave
flavor.  While there is only moderate agave flavor, the tequila has intense earthy, fruity, floral, vanilla, and
caramel flavors.  The tequila finishes with a long duration of flavor and a tingly, numbing alcohol finish.  

Don Julio Real Anejo – NOM 1449 – Tasted 5/22/07.  On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind
tasting.  This tequila is a pale yellow golden color and has intense aromas of fruit and floral.  There are also
moderate aromas of earth, vanilla, and spice.  A mellow taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a low level of
sweetness.  The Don Julio Real Anejo flavor contains intense fruity flavors.  The tequila also has moderate
intensities of earth, floral, and agave followed by mild vanilla, and spice accents.  Don Julio Real Anejo finishes
with a medium duration of flavor and a tingly alcohol feeling.

El Agave Anejo – NOM 1420 – Tasted on 8/26/07 at 9:00pm.  I tried this tequila at Zocalo and tasted it in a
Riedel glass.  With an amber brown color, this tequila has intense aromas of caramel and vanilla.  Other
aromas include moderate floral with mild fruit.  The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is
sweet with no bitterness.  El Agave Anejo’s intense flavors of caramel are followed by moderate-to-intense
notes of floral and agave.  With a long duration of flavor, tastes of mild fruit, vanilla, and wood bring this
tequila to a numbing finish.  

El Charro Anejo – NOM 1460 – Tasted 2/16/07.  The tequila is a golden brown color and has intense fruit
and earth aromas.  Once you get past the intensity of the nose, you can smell moderate notes of caramel and
smoke.  On the tip of the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft but yet has a full intensity of taste and feels
heavy and oily in the mouth.  While the tequila has a low sweetness, it is actually has no bitterness.  Now
onto flavor.  The flavor has intense agave, and floral attributes which are followed by moderate fruit and mild
vanilla, smoke, earth, and caramel.  The tequilas finish is a long duration of flavor followed by a numbing
alcohol feeling.  

El Charro Silver – NOM 1460 – Tasted on 5/21/07 at 4:45pm.  I tried this tequila at Zocalo and tasted it in
a snifter glass.  This tequilas quality versus price was average.  With a clear color, this tequila has intense
aromas of earth.  Other aromas include moderate floral and smoke with mild fruit and spice.  The tequila has a
medium-to-oily mouth feel and on the first sip has a low level of sweetness with mild-to-moderate bitterness.  
El Charro Silver’s moderate-to-intense flavors of earth and agave are followed by moderate notes of fruit.  
With a medium duration of flavor, tastes of mild floral, spice, wood, and smoke bring this tequila to a numbing
finish.

El Charro Reposado (Mixto) – NOM 1460 – Tasted on 4/20/07 at 4:00pm.  I tried this tequila, which cost
me $8, at Zocalo and tasted it in a snifter glass.  This tequilas quality versus price was below average.  With a
pale yellow color, this tequila has intense aromas of earth, floral, and spice.  Other aromas include mild fruit
and smoke.  The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with mild bitterness.  El Charro
Reposado’s intense flavors of earth are followed by moderate notes of fruit, floral, agave, and chemical notes.  
With a medium-to-long duration of flavor, tastes of mild spice and smoke bring this tequila to a hot numbing
finish.  

El Gran Viejo Extra Anejo – NOM 1109 – Tasted on 4/30/07 at 11:50pm.  I opened a bottle of this, which
cost me $116, at my home and tasted it in a Riedel glass.  While this bottle has a unique design, it is the
tequilas quality versus price that makes this great.  In my opinion, this tequila is worth far more than $116.  
With a golden color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral, vanilla, and caramel.  Other aromas include
moderate fruit and a hint of spice.  The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is very sweet with
a hint of bitterness.  El Gran Viejo has numerous arrays of flavors due to its 3 years of aging.  Intense flavors
of caramel and floral are followed by moderate notes of agave, fruit, and vanilla.  With a long duration of
flavor, tastes of mild spice with a hint of earth and smoke bring this tequila to a numbing finish.  

El Jimador Anejo – NOM 1119 – Tasted 5/22/07.  On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind tasting.  
This tequila is a golden brown color and has intense aromas of earth and floral.  There are also moderate
aromas of fruit, vanilla, and caramel.  A mellow taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a low-to-moderate level
of sweetness and no bitterness.  The El Jimador Anejo flavor contains intense fruity, agave, and caramel
flavors.  The tequila also has moderate intensities of vanilla followed by a hint of earth and spice accents.  El
Jimador Anejo finishes with a medium duration of flavor and a slightly numbing alcohol feeling.  

El Tesoro Anejo – NOM 1139 – Tasted on 4/26/07 at 5:00pm.  I tried this tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento,
CA.  1.5 ounces of El Tesoro Anejo ran me $10 and I tasted it in a snifter.  With a pale yellow golden color, this
tequila has intense aromas of floral, fruit, and earth.  Other aromas include moderate caramel and spice
followed by mild vanilla.  The tequila has a medium-to-oily mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with mild-to-
moderate bitterness.  El Tesoro Anejo has intense aromas of earth, floral, and agave followed by moderate
notes of fruit.  With a long duration of flavor, tastes of mild vanilla, caramel, and smoke bring this tequila to a
numbing finish.

El Tesoro de Don Felipe Silver – NOM 1139 – Tasted on 5/3/07 at 5:30pm.  I tried this tequila, which
cost me $7.50, at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant and tasted it in a snifter.  With a clear color, this tequila has
intense aromas of floral and fruit.  Other aromas include moderate earth and spice with mild smoke.  The
tequila has a thin and watery mouth feel and on the first sip has minimal sweetness with no bitterness.  
Unfortunately, this tequila did not have a lot of taste and was very watery.  Moderate flavors of earth and
floral are followed by mild notes of agave and wood.  With a short-to-medium duration of flavor, hints of fruit
and smoke bring this tequila to a extremely subtle numbing finish.

El Tesoro Platinum – NOM 1139 – Tasted 3/2/07.  The tequila is clear color and has intense floral, fruit, and
earth aromas.  Once you get past the intense nose, you can smell mild notes of spice and smoke.  On the tip
of the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft while having a light intensity of taste and feels thin in the mouth.  
The tequila has a hint of bitterness and has a low amount of sweetness.  Now onto flavor.  The flavor has
intense to moderate agave, earth, and floral attributes which are followed by mild spice, fruit, and smoke.  The
tequilas finish is a medium duration of flavor followed by a slight numbing alcohol feeling.  

El Tesoro Reposado – NOM 1139 – Tasted 12/20/06.  The tequila is a pale yellow color and has moderate
floral and earth aromas.  Once you get past the moderate nose, you can smell mild notes of spice, smoke, and
fruit.  On the tip of the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft but yet has a full intensity of taste and has a
medium and oily feeling in the mouth.  While the tequila has a low bitterness, it is actually fairly sweet.  Now
onto flavor.  The flavor has mild agave, earth, fruit, spicy, and floral attributes.  The tequilas finish is a medium
duration of flavor followed by a tingly alcohol feeling.

El Tesoro Paradiso Anejo – NOM 1139 – Tasted on 4/23/07 at 7:40pm.  I purchased 1.5 ounces of this
tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento, CA for $18 and tasted it out of a snifter.  The tequila is an amber brown color.  
El Tesoro Paradiso Anejo aromas consist of intense vanilla, caramel, and floral aspects followed by moderate-
to-intense fruit.  On the lighter side, this Anejo has mild aromas of earth with a hint of spice.  On the tip of
tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a heavy and almost syrupy mouth feel.  While the tequila has moderate-
to-heavy agave flavor, it is sweet and has mild bitterness.  The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of
caramel followed by moderate earth and chemical aspects.  Deeper flavors of El Tesoro Paradiso Anejo consist
of mild fruit, floral, vanilla, and smoke.  Upon finishing this tequila, there is a medium-to- long duration of flavor
and numbing alcohol intensity.  

El Tesoro 70th Aniversario Extra Anejo – NOM 1139 – Tasted on 4/4/08 at 9:30pm.  I purchased 3/4
ounces of this tequila at the Grad Tequila Bar in Davis, CA for $8.33 and tasted it out of a snifter.  The tequila
is a golden amber color.  El Tesoro 70th Extra Anejo aromas consist of intense fruit and floral aspects followed
by moderate caramel, spice, and earth.  On the lighter side, this Extra Anejo has mild aromas of vanilla.  On
the tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a heavy and sweet, syrupy mouth feel.  While the tequila has
moderate-to-heavy agave flavor, it is sweet and has no bitterness.  The flavor of this tequila contains intense
flavors of floral followed by moderate-to-intense agave and wood.  Deeper flavors of El Tesoro 70th consist of
moderate fruit and caramel.  Upon finishing this tequila, there is a long duration of flavor and numbing alcohol
intensity.

Espolon Silver – NOM 1440 – Tasted 12/31/06.  With a clear color, Espolon Silver has intense aromas of
earthy and floral scents.  Less apparent are moderate spice and fruit with mild smoke aromas.  Upon initial
taste, the tequila has a heavy mouth feel and has a slight burning sensation on the tip of the tongue.  Intense
flavors of agave, spice, and earth accents are followed by moderate floral and smoke flavors.  The finish
consists of hot alcohol intensity and a medium-to-long duration of flavor.  

Espolon Reposado – NOM 1440 – Tasted 12/31/06.  Espolon Reposado is a yellow golden color.  Aromas
consist of intense fruit, floral, and spice followed by moderate earth and smoke scents.  The first sip of the
tequila has a low bitterness and is sweet.  The types of flavors Espolon Reposado has include intense agave,
earth, floral, and spice.  On the mild side, there are fruity and smoky flavors.  The tequila finished with a
medium-to-long duration of flavor and numbing alcohol intensity.  

Espolon Anejo – NOM 1440 – Tasted 2/19/07.  The tequila is a dark golden yellow color.  Beginning with
intense caramel and floral aromas, the deeper aromas include moderate vanilla and mild fruity scents.  On the
tip of the tongue there is a mellow and soft sensation that is followed by a low sweetness and low bitter
taste.  Upon tasting, the tequila has intense agave, floral, and earth with mild fruit, vanilla, and smoke flavors.  
Espolon Anejo tequila finishes with a medium-to-short duration of flavor and tingly alcohol intensity.  

Fortaleza Lot #3 Reposado – NOM 1493 – Tasted on 6/8/08 at 6:15pm.  I tried this tequila at Zocalo in
Sacramento and tasted it in a Riedel glass.  This bottle has a unique design and is one of the heaviest bottles
I have come across.  With a pale yellow color, this tequila has intense floral aromas.  Other aromas include
moderate fruit with mild earth and spice.  The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip has a low
level of sweetness with no bitterness.  Intense flavors of fruit and moderate-to-intense agave are followed by
moderate earth.  Mild-to-moderate notes of floral are also present.  With a long duration of flavor, tastes of
mild spice and hints of wood and caramel bring this tequila to a slightly numbing finish.
