versus price is the lowest out of any tequila I have rated.  With a yellow golden color, this tequila has intense
aromas of floral and earth.  Other aromas include mild fruit and smoke.  Due to the use of a martini glass (El
Patron’s normal tequila glass) it was extremely hard to get any aroma from the tequila.  The tequila has an oily
mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with moderate-to-mild bitterness.  Tezon Anejo has intense flavors of
earth followed by moderate-to-intense notes of chemicals, floral, and wood.  With a medium-to-long duration
of flavor, tastes of moderate agave and mild fruit and spice bring this tequila to a numbing finish.

Tres Mujeres Reposado – NOM 1466 – Tasted 3/4/07.  Tres Mujeres Reposado is a yellow golden color.
Aromas consist of intense earth and floral scents followed by moderate fruit, smoke, and spice scents.  The
first sip of the tequila has no bitter and has a low amount of sweetness.  The types of flavors Tres Mujeres
Reposado has include moderate agave, earth, and fruit.  On the mild side, there are spice, floral, and smokey
flavors.  The tequila finished with a medium-to-short duration of flavor and a mildly numbing alcohol intensity.

Tres, Quatro, Cinco Anejo (prickly pear cactus) – NOM 1146 – Tasted 12/27/06.  The tequila is a golden
brown color and has intense floral and earthy aromas.  Once you get past the intensity of the nose, you can
smell moderate notes of vanilla and fruit.  On the tip of the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft but yet has a
full-to-strong intensity of taste and feels heavy and oily in the mouth.  While the tequila has a medium-to-low
bitterness, it is actually fairly sweet and almost syrupy.  Now onto flavor.  The flavor has intense earth and
floral attributes which are followed by moderate spice, fruit, and agave with mild vanilla, smoke, and caramel.
The tequilas finish is an medium-to-long duration of flavor followed by a numbing, tingly alcohol feeling.

XQ Gran Reserva Extra Anejo – NOM 1522 – Tasted on 8/29/07 at 4:45pm.  I tried this tequila at Zocalo
in Sacramento, CA.  This bottle has a unique design, being that it is in the shape of an X.  With a golden color,
this tequila has intense aromas of floral, caramel, and earth.  Other aromas include moderate fruit, vanilla, and
spice.  The tequila has a medium-to-heavy mouth feel and on the first sip is semi-sweet with a hint of
bitterness.  XQ Gran Reserva has intense flavors of earth, vanilla, and caramel followed by moderate-to-
intense notes of agave and smoke.  With a long duration of flavor, tastes of moderate floral and mild fruit and
spice bring this tequila to a numbing finish.
