While walking through the shops in town, we ran into some people from the Agroindustria
Guadalajara distillery. They introduced themselves and invited us to tour their distillery. Within 10
minutes, we were back on the bus and following a car to the distillery. Upon arrival we were greeted
by numerous people, cooked agave, and tons of tequila. I was shocked at how fast they got
everything prepared for us; it was very impressive to all of us. We were pretty much allowed to roam
the distillery and ask questions as we saw fit. Each group of us that wondered off had an employee
from the distillery to answer and explain the process and distillery specifics.
Unfortunately, since we had not planned on this visit, we had to leave shortly after arriving. For the
30 minutes or so that we were at the distillery, I was overwhelmed by the generosity and hospitality
this company put together in a matter of minutes. I can only hope that I will have another
opportunity to visit this distillery and hopefully have more time for the visit.
